Returned ItRuppIt looks good, but it was so cheaply made that despite a socket wrench and three people trying to attach the neck to the base, we couldn't do it. Why not charge a buck more and make products that work reliably, Ikea?

Difficult to assembleVictoriaThe lamp is fine. Assembly was surprisingly difficult. The locking nut in the base was too hard for me to fully tighten because I couldn't keep the post from turning. I had to ask my husband to do it and he had one of our kids hold the post. Two people and man strength should not be required to assemble a lamp.

Poles won't assemble, holes and connections don't line up. I had to throw it away because it wasn't worth my time to drive all the way back to the store for a replacement.
Bolt will NOT tighten.LI love the style and the display looked perfect.
Almost bought a super-wobbly one in ‘As-Is’, but decided to assemble from new.
Luckily I do have a wrench and followed all instructions. There is still vertical & horizontal wobble-room left, and the bolt will NOT tighten down any farther!
By the way, instructions shd mention to remove protective cardboard from the post joins (or not?), and there is no number listed to call for helpful info.
No tips were shown on other same complaints, so I assume it’s a design defect. Please fix the bolt design so I can get a working model. I don’t need it to budge at the base. Thanks.
Bolt is Impossible to tightenAngelaLooks great in store, but the bolt is IMPOSSIBLE to tighten. I have tried everything, wrenches and pliers, after a certain point it will not budge and it’s very hard to get a grip on when the lamp itself is moving around. Cannot use as it has a terrible wobble because THE BOLT WILL NOT TIGHTEN ALL THE WAY.

Super practicalLiviaNOTE: You'll absolutely need a wrench to fully assemble this lamp, you cannot hand tighten it. It'd be helpful if this was shown on the outside packaging as needing extra tools is pretty rare with ikea. This was an impulse purchase but I've been so happy with them. We have one on each side of the couch and now can easily read or draw or journal on the couch. Easy to adjust the light, easy to use the on off switch. Feels sturdy enough for the price, just a mild wiggle.
Great!!!ConnyVery happy with this. Easily to move around with it in my house. I have it at the table when I do my manicure, have it next to my couch for crocheting , use it at my desk…. It’s just super easy and lightweight. 😊
But, it would be nice to have a Lamp included.
