GoodAshnahI agree with all the reviews. The assembly is a pain (and I like the building part of any furniture, this one was tough). You really NEED the wrench, just tightening by hand will not work.
But I really like how it looked in the end. I bought a smart light bulb for it so i can change the colour and make it dimmable.
Looks great but the threads are terrible EmmaIt's so hard to assemble because the nut and bolt and threads are terrible and not aligned.
We Love It!!HelgaWhen I review a product I always like to provide both positive and negative information if needed. We bought this lamp about 6 months ago and are very pleased with it. It works well and creates a warm ambiance. We use it as an overnight light in the main area of our home. In fact we plan on getting another one this week for when we have dinner on our sundeck table. It's got a good weight to it, not easy to be tipped over. We especially like the way it's designed so you don't get direct light at face level, making it a perfect lamp to use as a reading, hobby or desk lamp.
My advice, don't be put off by any negative reviews, give this lamp a try, you will love it.
Impossible to put togetherKellyThe nut cannot be tightened. It's not that it's hard to tighten, or it requires too much elbow grease - no, it cannot be tightened. I don't believe the threads match. I bought two and they're both like this. I should have read the critical reviews before I purchased. I'm disappointed that IKEA is knowingly selling a defective product. Do the right thing and take it off your shelves or redesign it, please.

Table LampAliceBought 2 to use as bedside table lamps. Appreciate small footprint. Lamps are not overly bright so may not be suitable if you want it as a reading lamp.
Beautiful glowAmandaThe light gives a beautiful glow and sets a nice calm mood. I also love the on/off switch on the neck of the lamp as it’s easy to reach and maneuver while lying down in bed.
Disappointed HannahJust bought this lamp and it is so cute, unfortunately the screw does not properly fit into the base of the lamp and it's impossible to fully tighten it. The lamp is all wobbly but I live so far it's too much of a hassle to return it :(
