Upgrade to Rosentorp ChairsAlanHaving decided to upgrade our older IKEA kitchen chairs we did some online research and took off for our local store. We had a model in mind but quickly changed our minds when we saw the instore display showing our white IKEA kitchen table with the Rosentorp chairs! No need to imagine how they might look in our kitchen. They were not in stock at our store so we paid the delivery fee. This was the only sour note. Delivery was quick however and the chairs were simply and swiftly assembled with speed increasing after the first. All parts and tools were packed and there was no damage to any parts. Sliding on the covers was a little challenging but they fitted snugly such that no wrinkles showed and are unlikely to develop. All in all we have been completely satisfied with our purchase and how well these chairs have enhanced our kitchen.4
Not the bestJohanThese chairs look nice, but I can't recommend them. The seat is too short from front to back for comfortable sitting. And they make a horrible plastic-y sneaking noise whenever you lean back on them. I had hoped this noise would go away with time but it doesn't seem to. Every time you move in the chair there's a nasty squeak. And that's true for every one of the six chairs I bought. I thought it might be because I hadn't tighened things up properly or that I'd left some errant plastic in when putting them together, but no, it's built into the seat back. So I''m disappointed especially since these are, bu Ikea standards fairly expensive chairs.3
Sell the chair covers separately!HoiChair is good for the price. But please sell the chair covers separately so we can replace if needed or change the color. I actually wanted the beige color with the black legs. Adding some additional colors in the future would be a great idea too, cheap way to give a brand new look to the dining room without changing the full chair.4
