To find out how to best help people with issues like this, Paul and his colleagues visited different homes on three continents. They took pictures and bombarded the homeowners with storage-related questions. “We got to see the hard truth, and it wasn’t always pretty,” smiles Paul. “Many have closets with just a shelf and a rail underneath. It’s simple, but not very functional. They stuff the shelf and hang as much as they can on the rail – the rest ends up on the floor.”

Terrible service at the store and money grab for selling it as a separate itemAnonymous reviewerI thought I was warming back up to Ikea furniture because some items are practical and reasonably priced, but today’s service experience reminded me exactly why I stopped shopping here before. This piece should have been sold with the shelves, but it was only ten bucks, so I still drove in to check it out. Quality was just okay, but fine for the price. Then I went to pick up and the box was empty. After speaking with a couple of staff, I learned the items were in the store, packed on the higher shelves, but they wouldn’t open them. The message I got was basically: this customer isn’t worth the effort. Terrible feeling. Then came the kicker: they suggested shipping, which costs more than the item itself. Your system and website say it’s available, yet what’s shown never reflects what’s actually on the shelf. You keep saying sorry, but it’s clear you’re not. It’s all economics. Bye‑bye Ikea and others be aware!
Excellent StorageJanetThis unit is great for office storage and easy retrieval. The drawers are big enough to accommodate everything from printer paper to pens and pencils. The mesh design prevents small items from slipping through, yet is open enough to allow a person to see what is in the drawer. Just what I needed!
