Real wood. Stable. CarolineI've had this for a few months. The white paint on mine is good. It's difficult to find stuff that isn't particle board, so I really value that it's solid wood. The only thing was there are some horizontal metal track things that can squeak, so I put sewing machine oil all along the tracks, and no more squeak. I assembled it solo (paired with gravity) but I'd recommend having two people to assemble, since it was very difficult solo and I'm usually very good at furniture assembly.
