Discover more favourites from our past in the Nytillverkad collection

With the second release of Nytillverkad, we celebrate the colourful and radical vibe of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. Characterized by deep contrasting colours, striking patterns, and clean, simple shapes – this new selection encourages you to express yourself.

A colour blast from the past

These patterns from the early ‘70s are brought back to meet a new generation. For the first time in their more than 50-year history, they’re now available in pre-cut fabric. So, get ready to unleash your imagination!

We wanted to bring back our favourites and remake them with the technology and materials of today.

    Comfortable steel

When this armchair was originally produced in 1983, it was inspired by the trolley industry and their cost-efficient way of buying metal on large rolls. Luckily, the resemblance stops there. Although made mainly of steel, the SKÅLBODA armchair is surprisingly comfortable. And with a cushion, it’s even softer.

Finding solutions on the factory floor is something IKEA is known for. It’s still today critical to our product development.

    The future looks bright

These two design classics – a plant stand originally from 1957 and a coat stand from 1978 – are restyled in eye-catching contemporary shades.

A love letter to a beloved side table

Way back in 1956, IKEA produced one of its most iconic pieces of furniture of all time: a loveable side table called LÖVET. A true treasure, we have brought her back in cheerful colours as LÖVBACKEN.
