IKEA Sell-back program terms and conditions
At IKEA Canada (“IKEA”) we believe our products deserve a second life. As such, we are offering a new program to all IKEA Canada customers (each a “Customer”) whereby IKEA will repurchase eligible used IKEA products from IKEA Customers (the “Sell-back program”).
How to Apply
To be eligible for the Sell-back program, Customers must visit the IKEA Family website (www.ikeafamily.ca), click on the “Sell-back” link and fill in the Sell-back Program entry form including four (4) photos of the IKEA product(s) (including three (3) separate angles/perspective of the product(s) and one (1) photo clearly showing the IKEA label/stamp on the product(s)) (the entry form and photos collectively referred to herein as a “Submission”). By entering a Submission, Customers agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. All Submissions become the property of IKEA, and will not be returned.
Each Submission will be assessed by IKEA’s Recovery team. If, in IKEA’s sole and absolute discretion, a submitted product is eligible for the Sell-back Program it will be assessed a quote. The quote will be based on the condition of the product and the product’s original retail value (“Quoted Price”). Allow 5 business days for an assessment, then check your application status. If the item is still processing, please wait 1 day and check again. Only those customers with Submissions that are approved and assessed an Offer will be contacted.
Customer may accept the Offer by returning the item to the store where the submission was accepted and providing the eligible product(s), their IKEA Family card, and the reference code to the IKEA co-worker. Eligible product(s) must be provided to IKEA returns co-workers for physical inspection.
If, after the IKEA co-workers at the Participating Store inspect the product(s) and they are found to meet the Eligibility Criteria, the Customer will be issued an in-store credit for the Quoted Price of the product(s). IKEA co-workers are unable to change the Quoted Price but may refuse to accept the product(s) in certain scenarios including, but without limitation, if the product(s) does not meet the Eligibility Criteria at the time of return.
