Why is my kitchen design locked?

Your kitchen design gets locked once you or an IKEA co-worker puts it into a shopping cart. No worries, though! You can create a copy of your kitchen drawing and continue designing with the copied version.

A kitchen drawing created in the IKEA Kitchen planner becomes locked once you or an IKEA co-worker puts it into a shopping cart. If you want to be able to proceed with the kitchen design on your end, you can make a copy of the locked drawing and save it under a new name. This way you are able to make all the changes you want in the copied version. This is how to proceed:
  1. Navigate to the start page of the IKEA Kitchen planner.
  2. Scroll down through 'Your saved designs' until you find your locked drawing.
  3. Press the 3 dots and choose 'Duplicate'.
  4. The menu includes several options such as Rename, Share, Print, Duplicate, and Delete.
  5. Save a copy under a new name and go ahead with making changes!
