What does "Delivery limited to large orders" means?

"Delivery limited to large orders" means that items in your order may be too fragile for delivery, or available only for purchase in-store or via Click & Collect.

Unfortunatly, IKEA Canada is unable to arrange parcel delivery of fragile items to certain postal codes via courrier such as FedEx due to the high risk of breakage.

If the order meets the necessary volume requirements (i.e., the order weight must exceed 30 kg or include an item longer than 120 cm), we can transport fragile items by truck - hence, delivery limited to large orders.

This can also happen when you try to order a combination of articles (for example, a bed frame, support beam and slatted base) and the larger and/or heavier articles (like the bed frame itself) are not available. The order will then be restricted to a large order because we cannot set up a parcel delivery to the postal code with the available items. When all the articles are available, the truck option will be available for delivery.

What can I do to get my order?
You can always go to the nearest store, or place a Click & Collect order for your nearest store or Pick-up location. You can also order more articles to increase the order size which would then likely give you the truck delivery option.
