Ever wonder what happens to your feedback on our products? Every time you leave a rating and review on IKEA.ca you’re not just helping other customers learn more about our products, you’re helping us improve too!
Take the FJÄLLBERGET conference chair, for example. We made some changes to adjust the comfort including an angled back rest with added curve, and a softer seat and re-launched a new version of the chair in August 2018. We couldn’t have made these improvements without feedback from your ratings and reviews.
2 simple steps to rate and review IKEA products:
1. After you have purchased an item, you will receive an email to review this product.*
2. Click on the link in the email to share your product review and rate it using the star system.
*Customer must be an IKEA Family member and has opted in to receive communication emails.

Some tips on evaluating IKEA products
In order for us to publish your product review, please take the following points into consideration.
- Ensure your review is related to product(s) only.
- Do not include any personal information, like your name or telephone number.
- The content needs to be respectful and accurate.
- The minimum character count is 50.
TERMS OF USE FOR CUSTOMER RATINGS AND REVIEWS

The Customer Ratings and Review service (the “CRR Service”) is offered by IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP and these Terms of Use will govern our relationship when you use the CRR Service. In the event of any conflict between our Privacy Policy and these Terms of Use, these Terms of Use shall prevail in relation to the CRR Service.
By submitting content to us, you warrant that;
- You are the sole author and owner of the intellectual property rights of the content;
- All “moral rights” that you may have in such content have been voluntarily waived by you;
- All content that you post is accurate;
- You are at least of the age of majority in your province of residence;
- Use of the content you supply does not violate these Terms of Use.
You further warrant that you shall not submit any content:
- That is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading;
- That is not based on your personal experience with the product being reviewed;
- That infringes any third party’s copyright, trademark, trade secret or other proprietary rights or rights or privacy;
- That violates any law or regulation;
- That is, or may reasonably be considered to be, defamatory, hateful, racially or religiously biased or offensive, threatening or harassing to any individual or corporation;
- For which you were compensated or granted any consideration by any third party;
- That is a direct or indirect promotion or commercial solicitation for a competing product;
- That includes any information that references other websites, addresses, email addresses, contact information or phone numbers;
§ That contains any computer viruses, worms or other potentially damaging computer programs or files.
You agree to indemnify and hold IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP (and its agents, subsidiaries and third-party service providers), harmless from all claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, including reasonable lawyers’ fees, arising out of a breach of your representations set forth above, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
The CRR Service lets you help other customers understand IKEA products better. They also help us make IKEA products even more relevant to customers’ needs. The results are primarily published on IKEA.com, but they can be used elsewhere, for example in marketing. For any content that you submit, you grant IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and/or sell and/or distribute such content and/or incorporate such content into any form, medium or technology throughout the world for all purposes (including for marketing and promotional purposes) without compensation to you.
All content that you submit may be used at our sole discretion. You acknowledge that IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP has no obligation to pre-screen your content although we reserve the right to preview your content before publishing and to change, condense or delete any content which we deem, in our sole discretion, to violate the content guidelines or these Terms of Use. We do not guarantee that you will have any recourse through us to edit or delete any content you have submitted. Ratings and written comments are generally posted within two to four business days. However, we reserve the right to remove or to refuse to post any submission for any reason. You acknowledge that you, not IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP, are responsible for the contents of your submission.
By submitting your email address in connection with your rating and review, you agree that we and our third party service providers may use your email address to contact you about the status of your review and for other administrative purposes in relation to the CRR Service. We will not use your email address without your consent for marketing purposes or distribute it to any third parties which are not involved in providing the CRR Service.
Data is transferred between you and IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP through the Internet. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid provision which most closely represents the sense and purpose of the invalid provision so that it is enforceable to the maximum extent permitted by law.
These terms and conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, and any disputes relating to these Terms of Use will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Ontario courts. IKEA CANADA LIMITED PARTNERSHIP reserves the right to bring an action against you at your place of domicile.
