Works great but not made for standard constructionBrehaThe shelf looks great once it's on the wall. From far away, you wouldn't be able to tell it's not real wood. However, you'd think that Ikea would make it possible to hang it directly on the studs by having more holes in the mounting bracket. The holes don't line up with standard 12" or 16" stud spaces. Seems like a large oversight on Ikea's part. If that was fixed, I'd give it a 4 star review for sure.4

Good shelf but bracket modifiedAngelaThis is a beautiful shelf and works great in our space. However we had to modify the bracket. A floating shelf needs to be mounted to studs, and studs in North America are spaced 16 or 20 inches apart. The mounting bracket needs to have more holes spaced like this.4
