Life at home innovation since 1943

Since IKEA was founded, our passion for life at home has inspired us to tune in to the nuanced reality of how people actually live. With the ultimate goal of improving everyday life for the many people, we have worked to design home-furnishing solutions that accommodate and support their ever-evolving needs, habits, and desires.

Assembling a Better Future Together

Every year, the world's biggest design brands come together in Milan, Italy, to share—and as a forward-thinking global company, we made sure to be there for the 2023 edition.

Through our exhibition "Assembling the Future Together" we introduced visitors to two exciting new partnerships we're proud of, and started an important conversation about what we can all do to contribute to a more sustainable future.

Eight decades of iconic product design

Our respect for our customers has motivated us to innovate new solutions to the problems of the time. This journey has led us to develop some of our most beloved pieces of design, many of which have since become classics, and all of which embody our commitment to adapt to every era. Every single iconic IKEA product reflects our definition of Democratic Design, the concept underpinning all of our design, which is anchored by five pillars: Form, Function, Sustainability, Quality, and Low Price.
