The cold-start function prevents hot water waste and saves energy. When you lift the lever straight up, only cold water is released. The function restricts opening the lever fully to the right.
Hot water is released by turning the lever to the left. It is only then that hot water is consumed.
This is a durable mixer tap that you can use for many years, since the hard, ceramic discs withstand the friction that always occurs when you change the temperature of the water.

Could've been betterKathrinaNot a fan of this mixer tap. The handle is a bit too tight and not as soft-moving as on other taps. The handle is also too short for my liking, and the cartridge is too noisy.
I bought two of these taps which were sold under a now superseded article model so the current model might potentially have some updates.
The nice thing is that it comes bundled with a sink waste, however it wouldn't fit all sinks. It didn't fit mine.
