Do they really want to hear about my emotional breakdown involving an Allen key, 47 screws, and instructions written by a Swedish minimalist with a dark sense of humour?
The setup:
You open the box. Every piece looks identical. You start hopeful, full of DIY pride.
The descent into madness:
Then you discover the wall stud is not where IKEA swore it would be. The brackets are upside down, the spirit level is lying to you, and you’ve started bargaining with a cartoon man holding a wrench.
The result:
They’re up. They look amazing. They’ll probably survive the apocalypse. But every time they creak, I can still hear them whisper, “Remember the stud.”

Staff forgot to order kitchen itemsFionaI had to try work out what to order with kitchen order as staff forgot items i had already mentioned. (Under upper cabinet panels that hides screws. Too late as it doesn't fit now. And i kept reminding about the deep drawer inserts and now don't know what parts are needed. Over an hr to ring ikea for that. Hmm.4
Pantry shelves IreneI purchased extra shelves for my pantry. They are excellent. I am now able to keep GF products separate from non GF pantry items. 5

Strong and easy fittingNickThey are quick and easy to fit. it took longer to unwrap from the plastic packaging than to fit. The hardest thing is determining what height to put the shelves and then pressing in the support pins. The shelves are made of chipboard but do still seem sturdy. The wider shelves might sag over time, but I haven't experienced this as yet.5

Stubborn stickers on boards ... WHY?Anonymous reviewerWhy are these boards fitted with a (poor quality) product sticker, when the product details are already outlined on the outer packaging?
The stickers are impossible to get off and it takes longer trying to remove them than building the whole cabinet.
This also applies to other Utrusta range items, including drawer fronts.
I'd happily pay a few cents more if easy-to-remove stickers were used (but again, they are not needed in this case).
Otherwise, the kitchen reno is going great :-)4
