The drawers close silently and softly thanks to the integrated soft-closing function.

Be aware of buying king size bed frameZinaI found out that only Ikea king mattress fits in Ikea king size bed. Since I slept on the Ikea mattress, my back hurts in the morning. I wanted to buy different mattress but I have to buy new bed frame as well. very disappointed.1

CreakyJoshuaLooks great but there is a lot of unnecessary complexity in the design, which just makes assembly harder and means it has many more points of failure in use. It took a full day to assemble. The slat system is a pain to assemble, unnecessarily complicated, flimsy and creaks. It started creaking on day one (a lot) and hasn't stopped, which is a total design fail. I had high hopes but I'm left feeling quite disappointed and regretful of my decision.2

Solid buildPhilThis bed is very well made. Solid wood and metal. No chip board. Instructions very easy to follow. I like to option of choosing the height for the mattress as I have a very thick pillowtop mattress so go to be able to adjust this. Only issue was the box had 6 left and 2 right sliding rails for the drawers so had to go back to Ikea Springvale to get the correct ones 4 right and 4 left. The drawers were a little difficult to assemble as the pin at the rear would not fully go in but a few taps from the hammer fixed it. So 1 less start for that. Very happy with the bed.4

I like the way you can have the matching bedside tables there without impacting the opening of the drawers. Assembly was fiddly but it is a relatively sophisticated construct. This bed is not only beautiful, it is sturdy and the extra storage underneath is a life saver in our small home. We replaced a creaky Wayfair bed with the TONSTAD and it's been a dream.
