Size of the products.MayI preferred the previous version, the size was bigger and it fitted the big size pots better.2
Works as well as I hopedIreneMy first ever induction technology product and I like it5
Good valueLindaBought to use temporarily while we wait for our kitchen renovations to be finished and it was just the thing that we needed. Works amazingly well, efficient, effective and easy to use and clean. Good value for money5
Portable induction hob Tillreda.KarinExcellent! Only one thing. It has many heat settings, however, anything above 2 gets too hot. Otherwise, works well.5
Awesome back up hob!SheraleeI live rurally and we rely on LPG gas for our cooking - which is great until the gas delivery is late and we run out of gas.
I also sometimes find that water doesn’t boil on my gas stove - which I think is due to the low pressure when we’re running low on gas.
Enter this induction hob. Compact enough to store away on a shelf when we don’t need it, and portable enough to use it anywhere when we do. I’ve used it in the kitchen to cook pasta, and on the table to stir and simmer jam while watching tv. It would be perfect for using in a caravan or small apartment too.
Brilliant little addition to our kit.5
GreatRobertaWhile we rebuild the house and kitchen this portable hob has been and continues be brilliant.
Best $50 I've ever spent.5
Love our TillredaTriciaOur Tillreda was our first foray into induction cooking and even my husband who loves his gas stove was impressed. Tillreda is getting used almost every day.4
Great for the caravanFionaThe induction cooktop worked a treat cooking inside and outside our van. Should have bought one years ago.5
Good productJiejieEasy to carry and use5
Good cheap not tacky cheapRoszarieWe were looking for an alternative to electric stovetop (expensive and frustrating when it goes off the boil) and benchtop gas (dangerous, wobbly and apparently bad for health because of fumes).
After a slew of research we took a punt on a Tillreda and are stoked!
Addressing the Cons:
• Four seconds to disable the Child lock is *pfft* no hassle.
• We had enough suitable cookware to offset the fact that not all of our existing pots could be used on the induction cooker.
If a magnet stuck to it, we were good to go. I only had to purchase one saucepan for specific needs (because I wanted a particular size with a pouring lip) and
• Nobody in our house has a pacemaker
Pros:
• Cheap to buy and run
• Small footprint on bench and in cupboard
• Easy to clean AND
• It's only a couple of extra minutes for "wok hei".
The same applies to pots & pans that may be larger than the central cook zone.
Overall, feels like a bonus at a discount price.4
Love itAlineWe love it and use it everyday. We are renting and the owners do not want to change the cooktop. It's easy to place anywhere and will boil water super quick! The best thing we purchased this year5
GreatCatherineperfect for extra festive cooking or even out and about5
Induction cooktopVickiBrilliant little cooktop. Performs exactly how it’s supposed to. Love it.5
An excellent buyRichardNice size, light weight, good heat generation. I use it outside now as replacement for the gas burner next to my bbq. Can handle flat bottomed wok as well, really very good. Yes, the ventilation grills on the side may fill with food from the pan, so far I have been careful and and successful in keeping it free from spillage.5
FantasticRussellI bought this to use on our recent road trip to Western Australia to cut costs as we were staying in motels and buying every meal would have cost an arm and a leg.
It was perfect as it was easy to carry in the car and cooled down quickly making it simple to cook breakfast before we then packed up the car in time for check out.
I'd certainly recommend the product and at $49 it's a bargain!5
Better 2nd timeSandiFirst one worked once & died. This one IKEA supplied gratis which was most appreciated. Packed much better than the 1st one that may explain it’s reliability so far.
It heats very fast, very responsive, fits an 8 litre pressure cooker no problem.4
Fantastic quality productAprilThis little hob is so easy to use, and heats very quickly.5
Great cooktopDanielWe are traveling in a caravan Funtime and our Tefal induction cooktop blew up. Owing to reviews we ordered this cooktop and could not be happier. It is so much more efficient and easier to use than the Tefal. Great product.5
Works well but missing a timer functionWai KongIt heats up quickly and looks sleek. However, I wish it had a timer function so it could automatically turn off after a set time. I know this feature is available in other markets, so I'm not sure why it's missing from the Australian version.4
Compact and QuietDeanneVery handy and easy to use. The internal fan is quieter than many other brands, which is perfect for my small flat. Other brands I have used were so loud they drowned out the TV and conversation.4
