Sturdy and great quality DianaI bought this for a guest room. My sister has been a fan of the solid wood beds from IKEA for years. I am not a fan of veneer, but this bed is solid wood. The fact that it also had the option to come painted white (which I opted for) sold it for me. It went together well, feels very solid and has already had happy reviews from guests.
For the price point, it’s just unbeatable. 5
Not happy ShereeThe slats don’t sit correctly always falling off or bunching up and bed started collapsing so had to add more screws to keep safe. Never again will we purchase this brand again stay clear. 2
Tarva Bed FrameHoneyEasy to assemble. Nice and light too! Perhaps a little low, can't quite get bed storage under one side due to support beam. Otherwise, no complaints! 5
Tarva timber bed frameSherylGood solid bed frame that will stand being taken apart and reassembled, very reasonably priced and great for my renting uni student daughter, such a good deal my son bought one too:)5
Great value comfy bed frameJulieThis product is true value for money with comfortable slats and slimline frame for a small space.4
If the middle beam is lower than the two sides, your side planks might be upside downShirleyWe had the same issue as others (middle beam lower than the two sides, causing the mattress to sag and us to roll into the center), before realizing we'd assembled the side planks the wrong way around, whoops!
@IKEA: Would be great if this part (orientation of the side beams) could be made clearer in the assembly instructions :)
Other than that, was easy to install (was our first ever IKEA purchase), and small enough to fit in our Kia Picanto5
Cost effective, super adaptableLukeThis bed frame has been great. On the cheap side, but goes together quickly for a sturdy basic frame.
It is also made of pine, rather than laminate, which means it can be sanded and stained/painted to match any room design. It can also be drilled and screwed easily to make minor modifications. In fact the whole Tarva range is well know to be very “hackable”.
Unassembled, it is also easily transportable in a regular hatchback, even for the queen size, which is great.4
Good for price NathanNot perfect, but good for the price. Bed utilised as a guest bed. No complaints.4
Lost of time and money.ValeriaOne part was without holes. The assembly service couldn’t finish their work. They just left. I had to drive to ikea with this bed to change it and assemble myself later. Lost of time and money.2
