Beware: Svalon is not SeglaroRichardWe thought that if Ikea carried only one spare Parasol Canopy that appeared (without measuring) to be about the size of our 8-year-old IKEA parasol, then that would be the correct one for us!
But no, IKEA does not carry the spare for the current version of Seglaro in Australia! And the Svalon refers to a completely different parasol that is slightly smaller than the Seglaro!
IKEA didnt seem to be interested in carrying the spare in Australia and the cost of us purchasing and getting a spare from the UK or the US meant that it wasnt that much more expensive to get a completely new Seglaro. Which we did and returned the Svalon with no fuss. The Svalon is probably a very nice parasol umbrella, but it is slightly smaller than the Seglaro, so not the one for us.
The Seglaro is a great, high quality parasol and compared to other units on the market the price is unbeatable.
I hope this information helps someone get the correct umbrella and as I tell my son, measure twice and choose once!
