Issue with LURÖY Slatted Bed Base on SONGESAND Bed FramesHameedI have four SONGESAND single bed frames at home, all paired with the LURÖY slatted bed base. However, we are facing a recurring issue where the slats keep slipping out of place and coming off the frame. This happens very frequently with all four beds, making them uncomfortable and unstable. I would appreciate it if IKEA could advise on a permanent solution to fix this problem.1

Good looking bed frameLisaI bought this for my teenage daughter. I replaced her old ensemble bed with an ikea mattress and this bed frame. It looks great and is nice and supportive. You have to buy the slats separately but it means you have a choice in price and quality of those so altogether a good buy.4

We bought this bed as a transition from his toddler bed. It looks nice and is surprisingly comfortable and roomie. I was able to put it together pretty easily and mostly by myself. It's pretty lightweight and easy to manage, as well.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
