A practical and dust-free way to store small and large things – or to hide the chaos that often arises when it comes to children’s things.
The doors have soft-closing hinges which make them close softly and quietly.
To save on our natural resources and make use of as much of the tree as possible, we’ve used sawmill leftovers and scrap wood in the particle boards for SMÅSTAD.
Good to know
Different wall materials require different types of fixing devices. Use fixing devices suitable for the walls in your home, sold separately.
Two people are required to do the assembly.
Knobs and handles are sold separately.
May be completed with HÄNGIG label holder to keep things organised and easier to find. Sold separately.
May be completed with one of our boxes from Children's IKEA for organising the inside of your storage furniture or on open shelves. Sold separately.
SMÅSTAD doors are available in several colours and materials and look the same on the inside and outside.

Material
What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
