Fits on door below bench top and you simple swipe bench or cutting board scraps into it and it captures them with its outward facing, hinged lid. The top and lid fit firmly to the the base storage container with a positive click and it it previously had a problem, it has been fixed. Takes up minimal space. The Designer needs an award!

Should have got one years ago…SharonMy daughter bought something similar to this about 5 years ago… When I visited her and was preparing food it was super handy, saved multiple trips to the bin and kept my work area clear. At the time we couldn’t find another one to buy so I didn’t get one. I was excited when I saw this in IKEA… have used it everyday since I got it… We have a lot of fresh veggies and fruits so it sits just to the right of where the chopping board is. I empty it every couple of days and I have put it in the dishwasher to clean.
I am surprised how such a simple well thought out design is so beneficial in the kitchen. It is quite discrete as well so you barely notice it… I am going to buy another one for my friend because I know she would love it too.
Good valueCarolBought this as a soft plastic recycling bin. It hook on kitchen cupboards door well, but just can't fully close the cupboard.
