Wrong product in the BoxStefanI bought this product and what was inside the box was different. It was black instead of the wood color. I am no in a position to drive over 50km to exchange that but really disappointed with the product and not recommending IKEA products to anyone nor purchasing from IKEA again.1

Great product - but do shelves first!DAVIDOnly critique here, is that for the glass shelves, one the hinges are on the door and the frame, it doesn’t allow enough width to slide the deep glass shelves in. Have to remove the door, slide shelf in, then re-attach the door. (Very annoying if you just want to play with shelf heights)4

Sindvik - great glass doors, no hinges to hang them...jacquiGot the product home to find out the hinges to hang them were not included, haven't had time to go back to IKEA to get the hinges, I had one from another product we recently recycled but still have one door sitting in the box, very disappointing that there was no advice about this on the product.2
It's a glass doorBirolDesigned not to hide the mess behind it but in fact to proudly display it. Not the mess of course, but your favourite items. Bought this for the Besta cabinets so the kids could display their Lego creations. Only gripe is the frame is too thick.4

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
