You can tilt and rotate this free-hanging parasol without having a pole that blocks your view or gets in the way. It does its utmost to protect you against the sun with 50+ protection against UV-rays.

Product details

The fabric gives excellent protection against the sun’s UV rays as it has a UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating of 50+, which means it blocks 98% of the ultraviolet radiation.

You can easily turn the parasol to shade different areas since it can be rotated 360 degrees.

You are protected from the sunshine all day long, since the parasol can be tilted.

With a light, passing rain shower, you can stay and relax under your parasol since the canopy repels water.

The air vent reduces wind pressure and allows heat to circulate.

The parasol is easy to open or close by using the crank.

The parasol pole is made of aluminium which means it won’t rust.

The strap with buckle keeps the fabric in place when folded.

Care

The best way to extend the life of your parasol is by cleaning it regularly, protecting it with a cover whenever not in use and storing it in a cool, dry place indoors when the season is over.

Unable to replace the coverAnitaGreat product although unlike other canopy’s the cover is unable to be replace and has deteriorated to shred. Despite owning the cover. Im happy to replace, if the product was sold. Now needing to replace the entire item base and all. Such a waste of product and money. Lost customer. 2
So good we bought a second oneJuliaWe bought one a couple of months ago and we loved it so much that we bought another for the same deck. We chose this to replace non-ikea camping gazebo. We chose Seglaro because it's the biggest parasol ikea makes. It was a lot cheaper than other brand and better quality. We love that it rotates 360 degrees and we can tilt it. It's easy to assemble although we did have to get the first one replaced a couple days after we got it because one of the threads came loose and the bolt wouldn't turn. Ikea were very quick to replace it (a matter of a few days) and customer service is always very helpful. I just wish there were replacement canopies. We don't need one yet but it would be good to have a couple stored for the future. We bought the cover that does with it. Easy to assemble, easy to put up and down. Lots of shade. We used travertine pavers as weights as per manual. The dark grey blends in nicely with the trees in our backyard. 5

Base quality terribleStephanieBase rusts, doesn’t matter how much you care for it, after 2 years, completely rusted and is a massive quality issue. Cant even get a replacement base when other parts are fine. How do you design something that can’t handle Australian weather conditions. Clearly others have had the same issue and ikea have not fixed this flaw 1
Good, but no replacement canopyMauyraThe SEGLARÖ Parasol has been great for our outdoor area, but, like all things out in the Aussie sun, they deteriorate. The canopy has shredded and, although you are still selling them, there is not replacement canopy on your web site (but they do exist <https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/seglaroe-parasol-canopy-anthracite-00532013/>, only not in Australia? Any chance of a canopy, or is the Seglaro off to the tip? Seems a shame for something still quite serviceable.4

Disappointing to say the leastKylieWe purchased this product just under 2 years ago. The galvanised steel base (the four legs) have corroded due to rust, rendering it unusable. We were unaware of this as the legs are hidden under the base. We became aware of this when the parasol toppled over onto my mother in law, who luckily was not injured as a result. Upon contacting IKEA they have stated it is not a quality issue and thus refuse to provide compensation. Their response to our issue is very disappointing.1
Great value - good sizePaulVery solid, quite heavy. Easy to assemble. The main post is one piece where as some others ain't. I like that, although it wouldn't fit in the car, but only $19 to deliver. Winds up and down effortlessly. Very happy5
