BEWARELouiseI recently purchased this product as well as the modular 2-drawer chest. These products are designed to be assembled together, but because of design upgrades, the products are different. Both the colour and the cut out handle shape is different. I have learnt a lot about IKEA processes during the hours of my time it has taken to try and resolve this issue. IKEA products have something called a supplier number. To find matching nordli drawers I was told I needed to find matching supplier numbers. The IKEA resolutions team have been unwilling and unable to help in this process. I would not purchase NORDLI again. 2

Significantly worse than they used to beConrad3 years ago I put together a custom 4Hx4W chest for my bedroom and the overall quality - density, surface finish, and fit/construction - was noticeably a step above the familiar cheaper classics (Lack, Kallax, Billy, etc.) I just moved house and bought a new custom 5Hx3W assembly to replace it, and this thing is trash: • Particle board integrity is gone - sliding pieces out of (undamaged) boxes showered loose wood chips all over my bed. • The 'don't climb on me' print on the inside drawer faces uses crappy ink that stained other pieces in each box. • I had to scrape loose wood chips out of pre-drilled holes with a screwdriver to fit the hardware. • Holes for the white plastic cam nuts (119030) were oversized and/or off-centre, leaving an ugly black crescent when tightened. • Multiple parts had visible gaps between edge-banding and surface laminate. I would have returned the whole thing for a refund if I wasn't so lazy. Still mad though, won't buy or recommend Nordli ever again1

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
