Safety ConcernDraganNordli headboard is exactly as described, assembly and installation went without surprises and until that point I was ready to give a 5-star review. What took me aback were heavy metal accessories supposed to be attached to the headboard. They are massive, made of metal and frighteningly close to people sleeping in the bed. It is really shocking that IKEA have not identified this risk and I strongly suggest they consider alternative materials for those accessories, such as plastic, mesh, or similar.3
Head boardKimI wasn’t aware that the long screws that attach the bracket to the wall weren’t included. As I don’t have those long screws lying around, we weren’t able to complete installation today. Very annoying. 4

This is far more practical - and more stylish that the 'traditional' headboards. I especially like the storage - much more practical than the normal bedside table. I also bought the lamps, which give good light.

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
