Extremely Sturdy and Excellent Storage DesignSusanWe currently own this in a double size (purchased from physical store) and are about to purchase the same one in a King. After 5+ years with this bed, it still remains practically indestructible and looks new. I haven’t found another brand offering seamless soft close storage drawers which are awesome.
The double mattress we purchased with it is slightly shorter than the frame but not a bother. I assume this is to accommodate a “double xl” (AUS) mattress which is slightly longer should the buyer choose. In the USA, the longer version is typically a standard double size for non-IKEA brands. The same can be said for single beds. As an Expat, I’ve found there are absolutely measurement and size discrepancies of different mattresses sizes per country. IKEA seems to account for this but it may not be the “standard” measurements one expects. Hope this helps.
