It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Care
The best way to extend the life of your wooden outdoor furniture is by cleaning it regularly and not leaving it outdoors unprotected more than necessary.
Clean: With a mild soapy solution. Wipe dry with a clean and dry cloth.
Maintenance: To prevent the surface from drying out and cracking and moisture from penetrating into the wood we recommend you to re-stain the furniture on a regular basis, for example once or twice a year.
Storing: If possible, store in a cool dry place indoors. If the furniture is stored outside, cover it with a waterproof cover. After a rain or snowfall, wipe off excess water or snow from flat surfaces. Allow air to circulate to avoid condensation.
To increase the stability of your furniture, re-tighten the screws at least once per season.

Best outdoor storage ever.BarbaraI bought two of these last year for our covered deck area. Found not only great storage but also were often used as seating. Bought 2 more to put outdoor cushions in. I did give them an extra coat of stain to protect them. So much nicer to look at than a lot of other products on the market.
Love Love LOVE this boxRobynI bought this box to put our outdoor boots in at the door and also use as a table for our gin and tonics as we sit on our front porch this summer ☺️ As others have said it would be good with a hinge, but it has stoppers on the inside to stop the top moving and hoping that it will lift up ok to get the boots out or otherwise I will hinge it. It is very sturdy and simple to put together which is a major plus especially since battling other Ikea purchases in the past. Lovely addition to our porch to keep things tidy.

“We want NÄMMARÖ to be easy to both take home and live with,” says product developer Anders Adler. He and the development team found a part of the solution in a simple geometric shape – the square.
