“We designed a frame that looks like a square with small legs,” explains Anders. It’s a shape that’s used throughout the series, from chairs to tables. “The frame gives NÄMMARÖ a uniform and contemporary look. It’s also modular thinking that simplifies the production and lowers the cost. And since NÄMMARÖ doesn’t have any curved shapes, the products are easy to pack in flat packages.” It contributes to a lower price and saves valuable space during transport – all the way from the factory to the customer’s home.

Nice but be carefulRouzbehYou can't lock the folding mechanism (unlike the askholmen furniture for example) so you can accidentally get your finger stuck if you lift it. A lock should be added to the design. Until then there should be a clear warning in the instructions manual about this. Otherwise nice and solid addition to the balcony and I don't seem to have the issues with the recliner the other comments mention.

SAFETY HAZARD - DO NOT BUYDawenCompletely broke down after less than 6 months of light use, less than 1h per day, about 3-4 days a week. The connecting part of the handle and back is made with super un-durable metal that broke into 3 (left) and 2 (right) piece due to metal fatigue, which then later completely destroyed the screw on the handle holding onto the back. The design is flawed and the material is low quality. The back of the chair completely broke down and laid flat while my boyfriend is sitting on it and hit his head on the floor and injured his back, it could be way worse if it was a child sitting on it. This product has SAFETY HAZRDS, DO NOT BUY FOR THE SAFETY OF YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY.

I've assembled one chair easily, and the second chair had many faulty pieces, therefore now I have to go back to the store and exchange it, and start the process of assembling (hopefully without issues) again.

“We want NÄMMARÖ to be easy to both take home and live with,” says product developer Anders Adler. He and the development team found a part of the solution in a simple geometric shape – the square.
