The laminate on this cabinet chips off very easily, the backs of the cabinet is very flimsy and “flaps” when things touch the centre fold, and it is made of chipboard rather than MDF so the ling panels bow under their own weight. I purchased a whole new kitchen from Ikea based on its reputation and my previous experience and I wish I had not - After all the modifications I needed to make to get the cabinets rigid, I would have had better value getting the kitchen custom made.

Easy to assemble and good priceMoniqueI replaced my 1950’s kitchen using metod cabinets. You can swap out the doors for a complete kitchen facelift later on as styles change or you get bored.
Once you factor in the cost of feet, hinges, doors and handles, the system is still cheaper than the Bunnings Kaboodle system.
The cabinets are quite sturdy and are easy to keep clean with a bit of Spray and Wipe.
There are loads of insert options so you can customise each unit to your taste - shelves, drawers and other organisation items :)

A kitchen that took us around the world
Whatever your dream kitchen is, it’s probably different from many other people’s dreams. This we learned when researching kitchen desires around the globe. Our conclusion for the METOD kitchen system: it should make it possible to design the best kitchen for you – whatever your preferences and living situation.
Our ambition is to help as many as possible to have a kitchen they'd love to be in. We started sketching. “When we created METOD, it was our biggest ever kitchen change, so it's fair to say we were very keen to get it right,” says technician Klas-Ola Nilsson.

One element became blindingly important. “We realized we needed a kitchen system that could adapt to different sized spaces in a way that hadn't been done before,” Klas-Ola says. “So, we developed cabinets that could fit almost anywhere.” Different sizes can be mixed to best fit the room and they'll still fit together – without odd ends. Material
What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.

METOD frames provide the base for your new kitchen. Choose between base cabinets, wall cabinets and high cabinets in many different widths. Wall cabinets and high cabinets also come in different heights. If you want to use a corner, choose a corner base cabinet with a carousel that makes it easy to reach what's inside. There are even special frames for a built-in single or double oven. Perfect if you want to have the oven at a comfortable working height.
