    Disappointed MonaThere are no options to review my overall experience with purchasing an IKEA kitchen other than on individual items. So I’m leaving it here. The whole experience was stressful, and upsetting. Items were constantly wrong or missing. I had a different person on the phone over the 20 plus calls I had to wait on hold for. The kitchen is incredibly dysfunctional. After waiting many years for my dream kitchen, I am seriously wishing I had of just kept my old one! Don’t waste your time and money. 1

    Bad design - overpriced tooAndreeaUsed metod corner cabinet in the past no issues. This was before ikea got the revamped web. Ordered it and the "app" suggested a shelf. Bad luck for me, good sale for ikea - it was too small as it was for the wall cabinet. The same "app" did not suggest some useful knobs and we forgot them (review would have been better). In the end this corner cabine can accomodate a sink only on one single side. Does ikea know there are two sides on the corner? This does not give me the touted freedom to design ....!1

    Good space usageAnonymous reviewerWe considered this option or using a blind corner cabinet. This seems much better use of space. It is a shame that the shelf just goes across one side rather than matching the shape of the bottom piece. Maybe a shelf that has a bend in it would have to be fixed rather than moveable. We also had the option to include a swing out set of shelves. However, they did not seem very strong and because it was for a rental property we were afraid it might break. This option was also more costly.4

    What is particleboard?

    Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
