Excellent bedDeborahDifficult to assemble but worth the effort
The bed head does not attach to the bed. This should be highlighted in the product descriptionSusanIt is not clear that the bed head does not attach to the bed, so it relies on hanging screws attached to the wall (not included in the assembly items).
As it happened I ordered several IKEA items before moving house and only discovered that part of the bed head assembly was missing, meaning I didn't find this out until after assembling the bed.
There should also be a warning about position of sockets - unless they are low and either side of the bed, either the bed base or bedhead will prevent them being used.
Great idea but impractical for many. Given it is one of IKEA's most expensive beds this just isn't good enough.
So brilliantly functional and streamlinedKarenI love the combination of bed head and bed base, with clever shelving and drawers, using available space simply and effectively. This is ideal for rooms where things are a bit tight, with the shelves doing the work of bedside tables. Just so brilliantly designed in sleek beech wood. Have loved this design since I first saw it so many years ago. It endures because it’s so smart.
Love it!LindaLooks amazing, good size drawers, attached to my wall by installer and exactly what i was after. Good price too!
PERFECT 👌🏻 DebraAbsolutely thrilled with our purchase.
Perfect!HeatherThis bed frame is perfect for a smaller bedroom. Love the storage and the shelves on the headboard, saves having to have bedside tables.

Great bed, shame about the quality controlAnonymous reviewerI just put this bed together and found that the ends of the bed are unvarnished, which I found unusual for an IKEA product as I have never had a problem with the quality. Obviously the quality control was lacking for this product, I will now have to varnish myself.
Great lookAnonymous reviewerI've had just the bed frame without headboard since 2013 as I was living in a smaller place so no room for headboard and it has been going great. I had it right up against a wall there so only used two drawers. I always planned to go back and get the headboard when I moved to a bigger place. Moved house and added the headboard in 2016 (which I got off gumtree as it was temporarily out of stock) so its even older than that and has been sturdy this whole time. Here are a couple of things I have noticed that aren't deal breakers and I love the bed but just keep these in mind: The handles for the drawers are far away from each other, not an issue but if your frantically looking through drawers coz you forgot where you stored your shoes it slows you down a bit haha. For the headboard in particular there's more to dust than on a basic slab so if you're too lazy to buy a feather duster maybe just get a more basic headboard. I definitely think its worth it and to be honest I don't actually dust it unless there are people who might judge me coming over. Bed and headboard look awesome, plenty of room on the shelves, I have a queen mattress so there's even a little bit of edge of the frame showing which I really like but would be a good look regardless. The drawers slide really nicely too it is a really well constructed bed, absolutely no issues, I love it.

What is solid wood?
Solid wood is one of our favourite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the wood species, it is durable, beautiful and renewable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.
