Disappointing Bed Frame – Slats Keep Falling Through!OliviaI usually love Ikea’s designs, but the Malm bed frame has been a huge letdown. The main issue is the slats—they’re way too small and just don’t stay in place. No matter how carefully I set them up, they keep slipping through the grooves, which makes the bed feel unstable and uncomfortable. I’ve had to constantly adjust and reposition them, and it’s honestly become a nuisance. This has also caused the metal under neath to bend and get misshapen
It’s frustrating because the frame itself looks sleek and fits perfectly with my room, but this slat issue is such a deal-breaker. I expected better from Ikea. At this point, I’m considering buying an entirely new frame because it’s just not working out. Would not recommend unless you're prepared to deal with constant slat issues and like to fall through your bed regularly 1
