Poor quality: Don't buyBernardWood shreds similar to a coconut husk with lots of fiber. Might have been another type of wood that have mixed with acacia wood material. Fiber can drop and mix on food.

Unfinished, rough surface but nicely shaped utensilsFrancescaLovely shape and size however the finish of the utensils is very rough - the surface splinters and breaks off whilst using leaving bits of wood in your food. We will need to sand them and oil them before trying to use them again.
Look good, but poor qualityPaulaI was excited to see wooden utensils with a clean edge as I’m trying to minimise use of plastic. Unfortunately, while they look good and have a useable edge, they suffer from wood fuzz/raised grain even when hand washing after oiling prior to use.
Horrible smell that won’t go awayDeionI’ve washed the whole set with warm soapy water, then with hot water still the unpleasant wooden smell still won’t go away. Smells like a damp rag :( It even stained my kitchen towels and transferred the taste to my food.
