Look good, but poor qualityPaulaI was excited to see wooden utensils with a clean edge as I’m trying to minimise use of plastic. Unfortunately, while they look good and have a useable edge, they suffer from wood fuzz/raised grain even when hand washing after oiling prior to use.2
Horrible smell that won’t go awayDeionI’ve washed the whole set with warm soapy water, then with hot water still the unpleasant wooden smell still won’t go away. Smells like a damp rag :( It even stained my kitchen towels and transferred the taste to my food. 1
GreatCarlieGreat utensils for the price. No splitting or staining5

Good solid utensilsMikeFound these utensils meet our needs. Easy to use, clean and dry. Can recommend.5
Great set of cooking utensilsAnonymousReally happy with these! Great for cooking, easy to clean, good quality and no weird smells or anything. I'd recommend replacing your cooking utensils with these esp. if you use non-stick cookware.5
Has a smell to themLynnI washed and washed these utensils but they still have a strange smell to them, which makes me concerned to use them to cook with.1
MajfiskMaryLook good and priced right5
Strong odourShirleyI liked this set, especially the shape of the spatulas. The only off-putting thing about it was the strong odour. Not sure if it's the wood itself (though I doubt acacia smells that bad naturally) or something in the processing that was applied. Ended up soaking it in a vinegar solution and bi-carb soda which did remove it somewhat.3
Wooden & user friendly.Syed Shahid HussainLight weight easy to handle.5
QualityElhamI like the quality of that5
Has a weird smellMelanieI was excited to try these spoons but I've washed them and there is a weird smell, and I don't feel confident cooking with them. I'll try to return them but definitely do not trust these spoons to cook with1
DON'T BUYChenxiproduct bought from IKEA I most regrated about. Washed before use, but they have really strong disgusting smell which contaminated the food. Furthermore, when I put them in hot water, the water is brown... Is it even a safe product?1
These smell terribleHollieI washed them before use and the smell coming off them is nasty. I boiled the ends and it turned the water brown. I took a photo. I would not recommend to use, that will end up in food. I’m guessing it’s the cheap oil they have used on the wood. Sure, they’re good value for money and they look nice, but not at the expense of them contaminating food. Not good.1
Great setMelissaSo hard to find decent wooden cooking utensils. This set is great so far and handy to have different sizes. Cooking end is thin enough to flip eggs easily.5
Colour leakedMaryBought this set today and washed it when I got home. I noticed it stained my white tea towel, so I'm not confident using it for cooking.1
It’s best think I buy from IKEASetarehSetareh5
The utensils have very strong unpleasant wooden smellKaryNo smell.1
IdealJulesMy husband wanted wooden spatulas for cooking. A lot of items he makes say fold or mix with a wooden item. So happy and very cost effective.5
