Looks goodCharlesIt does make the drain look nice,
but water is trapped where the lid sits on the strainer stem, which causes a light rusting. The lid needs to be remove and let to dry once in a while. 4
Tidy sink addition CarolineI recently purchased a sink from IKEA and I just thought that having the basket in the drain is perfect I just wanted to tidy the look up and it did5
Finishes the look.ErnestNot only looks good, but also works in straining the unwanted bits. Slick look.5

Lillviken reviewRonIKEA products are generally very good products but this one needs some refinement.
A good looking idea when sink is not in use but because it is a wobbly loose magnetic connection to the sink plug/strainer you can’t lift the strainer to let out the water with out removing this cover first, it’s just a nuisance.
It would be much better redesigned to be spring loaded to enable push to install plug and push again to release the plug without removing the cover every time.
Well overpriced for just a plug cover.2

Waste of t ik me.MargaretWaste of t ik me. Unsure what the purpose of this item is. Purchased two for sinks it goes with thinking they were needed to keep water from escaping. They do nothing and are a pain when in. Dont bother with this item.1

After a few weeks itChristinaAfter a few weeks it rusted and I threw it in the bin. Very disappointed with this product.1
Love itIanRetains its finish. Looks very stylish. Magnetic fixing is strong and easily removed for cleaning.5
How does it work?CatherineI'm really not sure how its supposed to work. It attaches to the strainer basket, but only by pushing it on. If you push down you can leave it in place when the plug is closed, but if you pull up to drain the sink, it comes off, so you have to reattach it. It does look nicer than having an exposed strainer basket, so I suppose if you want the aesthetic, its essential :)2
Looks greatRosemaryOur sink hole looks much tidier5
