As children get older, this chair changes too. From being a secure place where infants learn to eat and talk, to giving children the freedom to leave the table on their own when they’re big enough.

Product details

We know that children's skin is extra sensitive, but not to worry. This product has been tested, approved and is completely free from substances that may harm your child's skin or health.

A highchair makes it easier for small children to sit at the same table as adults, which helps them develop social and eating skills.

The included safety belt has been designed so it won’t pinch children when securing them in the highchair, and it has a release button which makes it easy for you – and not your child – to unlock the safety belt with 1 hand.

Place the meal on the tray within easy reach of your child, so that they can discover the world of food while learning to eat on their own.

The tray has raised edges which help prevent spills from landing on the floor.

You can easily remove the highchair seat shell to transform the highchair into a junior chair when your child is able to sit at the table without being secured.

The junior chair’s height is perfect so that your child is able to sit at the dining table – meaning everyone can enjoy mealtimes together.

Two footrests help the child to easily climb up and down from the junior chair, giving them more independence.

The wide L-shaped frame creates a more open space around the chair and makes it stable, so that it doesn’t tip when the child climbs up to sit or climbs down from it.

Stands steady on uneven floors because the feet are adjustable.

You can stack the junior chair or push it under the table to save space when not in use.

The smooth surface has no nooks and corners which are difficult to reach, which makes the chair easy to clean.

Place KOLON floor protector under the child's chair to make cleaning up after mealtimes easier.

Not greatAlicjaGood looking chair, easy to assemble but as a toddlers high chair it’s not great if you plan to use the tray. The tray doesn’t clip in firmly and my toddler could just rip it off the seat!1
Excellent product and extremely wellJillianExcellent product and extremely well made5
Poor Design! Waste of the money! Don’t perform what it is designed.KwokThe tray easily pops off even by my baby when she was 9 months old! Now she is 12 months and we would like to try the blw. She can easily take out the tray, and any suction plates cannot stick on the tray. So obviously the tray is useless and we cannot train our baby to self feed! Beside, the seat belt is not safe enough, as my baby can nearly open the lock by herself; and the 3-point seat belt is under her tummy which is very dangerous that she will easily come out. We thought this model will be much more better than the cheapest model; but it’s not! We are very disappointed for buying this and wanna get the full refund.1
Best baby high-chair, better than StokkeFredThis ikea product really deserves 5 stars, our baby boy loves sitting in this chair, we try to put him in the Stokke but he hated it for some reason. It is easy to clean and assemble, and stable too, the drawback is it only comes in white.5
Easy Cleaning and Safe for babiesChereenVery easy for cleaning. I have used for nearly a month, very comfortable for baby and eat to handle. Safe for baby .5
Great Highchair!EllaI'm very happy with the langur highchair. It was easily assembled by myself and only needed a screwdriver and a few spare minutes. The tray does require some extra oomf to ensure its properly clicked in, but can be visually confirmed. The whole chair is SO easy to clean, including the safety straps. The legs are unobtrusive and the seat is well-balanced. My only criticism is that highchair only has a three-point safety strap. It would be perfect if it instead had 5. It would also be nice if there were other colour options (eg. gray and black) as it is designed to be used for a long period of time. Overall a great highchair that has made the cleanup after mealtimes very simple, and I look forward to it being a well used piece of furniture for years to come.5
Great chairStephanieI chose this high chair because it seemed easy to clean - which it is. I also love that it will convert into a junior chair when we are ready.5
Best. Smart buyJosephTrust me5
Great for the babyDannyExcellent and very flexible / versatile!5
Love our chair!SamanthaHave had for about 6 months. We love it! Easy to clean if you’re not lazy, a toothpick for the crevices in the front and it’s good as new. Tray pops up when toddler lifts up but they learn if you teach them.5
Great high chairAnonymousGreat, sturdy chair our 2.5 year old toddler is still using it. I bought the antelop cushion instead to make cleaning much easier.5
DisappointingSisiliaLove the look of this high chair, thought it’s a good idea too, and I really want to keep loving it, but some part of this chair is really impossible to clean no matter how hard I try. Not worth the money. The strap seems too easy to snap open too by a toddler.3
Tray pops off and clasp easily undone by toddlerAnonymous reviewerWe upgraded our antilop highchair for this one and it was a complete waste of money. The tray doesnt really click down properly and pops off with the lightest bump/touch. My just 2 year old easily unclips the safety belt with a button that only needs a gentle push. Even when used as a toddler chair, because the steps are at the front and right under the table, they need help to pull it out, and then to be pushed in. Very unimpressed overall.1
Tray keeps popping upAnonymous reviewerWe bought this chair after owning an antílope for a long time, however the tray keeps popping up from its locking mechanism and moving around.1

Accessories for LANGUR

LANGUR Junior/highchair with tray, white

A chair for small people and big moments

One way to learn things is to watch how others do. So if you have small children – let them join you at the dining table! That way, they can learn good eating habits while the family has cosy times together. It’s important that everyone sits comfortable, of course. When we created LANGUR highchair we made an insert that makes LANGUR suit the child over several years. But how could we avoid the annoying legs which are often in the way? The solution turned out to be L-shaped runners.

The designer Jonas Fritzdorf has three children of different ages. As a parent, there was one thing about highchairs that always bothered him. ”We tried many different functional highchairs, but all models had outward angled legs that we constantly ran into”. Jonas thought about solutions, but never had the time to see them through. Several years later, he was reminded of the problem.

Ideas take shape

”I sat in a restaurant and saw how the waitress time and time again bumped into the legs of a highchair. I thought it was time to bring those ideas to the drawing board again”. Jonas contacted IKEA. Luckily, our product developer Hanna Ahlberg was just about to look in to new highchair models. They started brainstorming together.

Safety first for important furniture

Highchairs with four legs often look the way they do because the legs must be angled outwards for stability. Jonas gave LANGUR a stable design using two L-shaped runners angled towards the chair's backside instead. Jonas and Hanna also developed an insert where the child sits secure and stable. When the insert is removed, LANGUR becomes a junior chair. Now Jonas's children have grown up and a highchair is no longer needed. ”But I think it was good that the ideas could mature a long time and that I didn't design this chair 'in the heat of the moment',” says Jonas smiling. ”It became a better chair by being the subject of an entire team’s focus and going through the safety tests which IKEA performs”.
