The tabletop has pre-drilled holes to make it easier to attach to the underframe.
Board-on-frame is a strong and lightweight material with a frame in wood, particleboard or fibreboard and a recycled paper filling. It requires less raw materials and is easy to transport, which reduces the environmental impact.
The plywood-patterned edge band adds to the quality feel.

Could be betterAnonymous reviewerWe purchased this desk in September 2022. At the beginning of this year, 2024, my son noticed a small crack in the middle of the desk top, at the front. Now, today the entire desktop is cracked centrally, and when I tap on it, it feels hollow and like it will break at any moment. I'm glad to see they still make and sell the desktops separately, as we will now need to replace it.
The desk has been used exclusively as a gaming desk since purchase. The drawers are all solid and fine, but be prepared to replace the desktop after a short while.
