Poor quality compared to previous versionSelinaI've just received two of these trivets which are replacing the one I purchased 10 years ago. The new version of this trivet is lightweight, flexible and definitely not made of metal - the new one weighs only 374g, whereas the old version was more than 1.1kg!! The old one was made of shiny stainless steel - the new one is some sort of cheap dull plated hollow tubing. I highly doubt this one will last 10 years. Seriously IKEA?

Won’t sit flatJillUnfortunately the last two I bought won’t sit flat as the frame is slightly twisted. They rock back and forth when I put anything on them. However it’s just too inconvenient to return them.
It’s a shame, really, as I’ve bought and used these before without trouble. I’m hoping they were just from a wonky lot.

Stainless steel rack.AnneThis is exactly what i wanted to protect my new induction cooktop. Really handy to put saucepans on so as not to scratch the cooktop.
Does what it says on the tinMarcUseful, aesthetically-pleasing (while being minimal) trivet for the bench next to the stove and oven. Nice to move a hot pan onto, and I've even turned bread out onto it to cool. Handy kitchen tool.

What is stainless steel?
