Well made and looks good ColinThese are a well made and versatile. We use them for cat shelves and they stand up to the job very well and look stylish. 5
Would not recommend this product at allPrityTook 2 days to figure out how to install on wall.
Waste of time, energy and money.
I learnt my lesson. I would not recommend anyone to buy this.

Can’t hold muchStevenThey are good finish and look nice, but they really can’t hold much at all, only 3kg.
I went and bought something slightly different for an extra $5 and it looks nicer and holds 10kg, even though it’s the same size. 2
Needs better wall mountingCassandraGenerally ok, but a bit low quality (even for Ikea), and tends to sag rather quickly over a short period of time due to it being only held to the wall by two screws (which do not come with it so you have to try and find the right size yourself. Also no template for hanging which would be useful) Honestly, if these came with the sturdier fittings that the longer floating shelves do, I'd be prepared to pay more for a sturdier small shelf that's easier to hang, even if I do have to find the screws myself.2
Purchased and returned.SharonThe Lack shelve use to be a high quality product. It is now a cheaply made item. The clips at the back easy pull out the chip board. It cannot take much weight. 2
lack shelfNormadifficult to install, had to make a template to line up placement of screws...not fit for purpose as bedside lamp table just not strong enough with current screw fittings...need to develop fittings similar to larger same type shelves.1
Do not recommend. Not good enoughChrisPurchased this for my child's room to keep plush toys off the ground.
The design of the mounting makes it extremely difficult to mount securely.
Tried multiple different mounting methods, all that failed because they require the screws to be tightened down all the way.
Having to leave the screws protruding partially our of the wall means the mounting hardware hasn't latched correctly into the plasterboard.
If you are mounting this directly into hard timber then this will work fine, but the mounts are too close together to be able to screw into two vertical joists.
Only being able to support 3kg males this shelf almost redundant as an accessory within a room1
Great product and looks great!RebeccaGreat product and looks great!5
looks goodHelengreat little shelf, I've used them in a granny flat kitchen alongside the longer shelf; my only gripe is that the fixing method is different to the longer shelf which is on a bracket, so it's tricky to get them exactly the same heights. In the end I went for artfully offset heights! It looks fine.4
Tiny joyJaneThese tiny shelves allowed me to create a space to draw the eye using feature accents on them simply but to make the space feel bigger. I’m really pleased with the result but fixing to the wall was a little tricky finding secure fittings into plasterboard.5
Easy to installCraigLack was easy to install and looks great.5

Unstable and can't use itJamaica-LeeSo disappointed. Flimsy and unstable. Bought 3 that I can't even use1
Terrible product- do not buyFrancescaTerrible mounting system, not well thought-out and nothing like the longer lack shelves (which, in contrast, have a much smarter system and can be really sturdy). Took an hour to put this one up and once up it was extreeeemely flimsy, and does not sit flush. Just made holes into my walls for no reason (as i can’t and wont be using these) and its also a bit annoying because 1) i had to go out of my way to buy the right screws and wallmates and 2) id like to return them but its such a hassle as my ikea is quite far away. I also wont try the L bracket alternative because the material of the shelf itself is one that i wouldn’t trust drilling into (it’d definitely weaken over time, if not when you initially drill into it).
so if you are considering buying this, don’t. save yourself the drama!1

Worst install of any IKEA productAlexisI have easily assembled dozens of IKEA products, but I just spent over an hour installing two of these shelves. This newer design is absolutely ridiculous. So much measuring and drilling and re-drilling just to get it so that I ended up having to install L-brackets underneath to support it. Not matter what we did, it was never exactly flush against the wall.
The old design of, like the larger ones, having one mount with the pole through the middle made it a 2 minute job. I’d rather pay an extra $10 to not have to go through this misery. $100 worth of aggravation for $15. Worst product I’ve ever purchased1
