Shelf design faultMosheThe shelf once installed(by ikea contractors) is wobling "up an down".Please re design the fixing to the wall brackets.
Wall shelfAnneGreat shelf used above student desk. Easy to hang. Strong.
The shelves were exactly what we wanted and the correct size. We love them TerrieI love the fact that I got great service and I wouldn't have had a clue where to go but the staff were wonderful and very helpful
Lack ShelvesChrisThese shelves are poorly constructed from
cheap fibreboard. The bracket rods are not perpendicular, and the drilled holes are much wider than the rods, resulting in significant sagging. Would not recommend.
Excellent shelf..easy to installJaneQuite a few years ago I purchase a white self exactly as above...
With my new IKEA bed..natural colour ...I decided that maybe I could replace it with a natural wood colour
It fitted perfectly ..no adjustment required ..it looks totally amazing
Valuable item for a cheap priceAnonymous reviewerIt is nice and holds a good amount if weight.
The cheapest and quality option i could go for my hallway makeover. I wish the surface was bit polished to reduce wear and tear
Good sizeSusanThese are great just what I needed
LACK shelf lacking SharonThis is a very attractive looking floating shelf and very econimcal at first glance. However, the inner core is not very substantial, the end result being the shelf slopes downwards. We had to put brackets underneath to support and make it level. It would have driven me mad if left in the sloping position.
Shockingly terrible AnonymousImmediately upon mounting these to the wall, they sag forward. Imagine how awful they'll be once we put stuff on the shelf. They don't even sit flush against the wall. A quick Google of "IKEA Lack sagging" will show you this is a common issue for literally everyone who's ever used these pieces of trash. Really disappointed IKEA.
Not fit for purposePedroI have had great difficulty anchoring and re-anchoring this product to a wall. Even went out and purchased special 10kg wall anchors. Yet the product just sags forward over time even with nothing on it. IKEA has suggested I bring it back for a refund. But what do I do with all the wholes in my plaster now?
looks stylish and modernLornaeasy to install - exactly as described

oak shelfLynnlove the size colour and look of this shelf
Very usefulJudyA good Ikea product for my little project
Good product but...PeterThe weight bearing limit was not disclosed. 3kg of books gives the shelf a nasty tilt. Only good for light items
GreatOwenGreat
Shelf not levelAnitaThe shelf dips down from the wall so is a concern. We also attached a wood strip to line up with the studs to add strength so not sure why we are having this problem.

Material
What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
