Versatile addition to any wall spaceRayGreat shelf to hold books and reading lights and to add style to bedroom
Walk shelfMalathiGood for placing my pictures and toys.
Really flimsy and slopes downwards.MelindaIf you read all the lowest reviews, I have to agree with them. The metal frame is flimsy and bendy. Not structurally strong so it slopes downward when installed. Usually like ikea item but really disappointed in how poor this is.
LACKJaneGreat shelf has a decent weight load for items to go on shelf, more than other retailers
The best wall shelfHenryRarely you get a well designed shelf that leaves clean lines and a contemporary design finish in any space at a good price and quality
A good looking shelfMelanieThe shelf looks perfect in our open kitchen. Because it is a bigger shelf we added more screws.
Lack Shelf. Good but not perfectDonI bought a couple of these 1800mm long shelves but in spite of a number of frame holes in the metal frame I couldnt get the holes to line up with my studs so used drywall anchors. Its rock solid on the wall but there is still a slope down to the front of the shelf because there is a bit of play on the supports that slip into the shelf. This could be eliminated by using packers to angle the frame upwards so that it is brought level again when the shelf takes some weight. But for me its close enough as Im not a tradie.
Stylish and quality shelfCatrinaThis shelf looks absolutely beautiful, it floats on our wall and has a sophisticated architectural feel.
Easy to instal, practical for storage and well finished
Great value for moneyStephenExactly what we needed
Lack shelfSylviaLack shelf is an attractive shelf and fits in nicely with our modern decor. The information provided by Ikea was correct.

Lack 1.9 metre shelfJohnThe support of this shelf lacks strength as the shelf is not solid throughout. As a result it did not have the strength to support a few kilos of flour in the butler’s pantry. Solved the problem by the addition of three angle brackets. Will soon be purchasing an additional shelf.
Happy with the results.
Wide but sturdyEduardoMy daughter loved the colour as it harmonises with her room's wall. Also despite being wide in size, it does manage the weight based on the specifications.
Note that you must find the stud to firmly screw the metal frame against with. Dry wall won't be enough to carry both the shelf and load's weight altogether. Do not overload the shelf. I managed to install this by myself using the right tools (laser level/meter, stud finder, etc). However, having gone through with this width and weight of shelf, I would highly recommend having two people to install it.

Sagging ShelfTahliaLooks nice but we have installed this shelf into brick with wall plugs and long screws and the shelf is still very unstable and on a steep angle. Hesitant to put barely anything on it. I bought the same shelf a couple years ago for our previous home and didn’t have this issue.
shouldn't be on the shelf for saleRadhakrishnanVery poor material and is not able to take a dozen of Ikeas jars and the whole shelf pulled off the plaster board. Absolutely non functional and made of cardboard. Will certainly not recommend anyone buying this.
So easy to instal ..JennySo easy to instal ..
Great item all timeJoshuaBought same again after 10 years of use for replacement. It is durable and practical item from Ikea all time.

Function solution
It's the shelf you see, not the screws
Some shelves have elegantly made fittings that are designed to be seen. But not LACK. The wall fittings for LACK shelf are designed to be invisible. That way, your shelf forms a natural part of the wall.
