Lack Shelf. Good but not perfectDonI bought a couple of these 1800mm long shelves but in spite of a number of frame holes in the metal frame I couldnt get the holes to line up with my studs so used drywall anchors. Its rock solid on the wall but there is still a slope down to the front of the shelf because there is a bit of play on the supports that slip into the shelf. This could be eliminated by using packers to angle the frame upwards so that it is brought level again when the shelf takes some weight. But for me its close enough as Im not a tradie.3

Lack 1.9 metre shelfJohnThe support of this shelf lacks strength as the shelf is not solid throughout. As a result it did not have the strength to support a few kilos of flour in the butler’s pantry. Solved the problem by the addition of three angle brackets. Will soon be purchasing an additional shelf. Happy with the results.4
Wide but sturdyEduardoMy daughter loved the colour as it harmonises with her room's wall. Also despite being wide in size, it does manage the weight based on the specifications. Note that you must find the stud to firmly screw the metal frame against with. Dry wall won't be enough to carry both the shelf and load's weight altogether. Do not overload the shelf. I managed to install this by myself using the right tools (laser level/meter, stud finder, etc). However, having gone through with this width and weight of shelf, I would highly recommend having two people to install it.5

Sagging ShelfTahliaLooks nice but we have installed this shelf into brick with wall plugs and long screws and the shelf is still very unstable and on a steep angle. Hesitant to put barely anything on it. I bought the same shelf a couple years ago for our previous home and didn’t have this issue.2

Lack Shelves look awesome and are easy to installLeslieI put up two of the largest Lack shelves above my bed after I saw them in a display instore. They look fantastic! Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
