5 year guarantee. Read about the terms in the guarantee brochure.

Pure steam cooking keeps the food’s taste and colour, while retaining the maximum of nutrients, minerals and vitamins.

When you combine steam and hot air you get optimal humidity and heat levels, which keeps food soft and moist on the inside, crisp and brown on the outside.

The preset cooking programs make it easier for you to choose the right settings for different recipes and foods.

You can store and update your favourite recipes in the oven's memory, along with the right temperature and cooking time for each.

By using the integrated meat thermometer with temperature sensor you can perfectly cook any type of meat without monitoring the cooking process.

The fan-forced air convection spreads the heat quickly and evenly, so you can cook or bake several dishes at once without flavours spreading between them.

The touch control makes the oven both easy to use and clean.

Top and bottom heating is ideal for cooking dishes with a crispy finish and for slow cooking of casseroles.

You can easily choose the best grill function to cook thin cuts of meat and vegetables or to brown gratins and steaks.

Turbo grill allows you to grill, brown and cook larger dishes and meat all the way through.

The special pastry function can help you to get the perfect moist topping on your baked cookies and pies.

The bread/pizza baking function gives your food a more intense brown outside and a crispy bottom.

The warming program enables you to keep food warm without becoming overcooked or burnt.

The fast preheat function warms up the oven quickly.

With the special programs included you can control the rising of dough before baking, dry and preserve food or sterilize container.

The steam cleaning function releases burns, grease and food residue to easily wipe off with the included sponge.

Easy to clean as the stainless steel surface is treated to repel fingerprints.

Oven door with child-safety lock improves safety in the kitchen.

Easy to install at a comfortable work height in a base cabinet or high cabinet.

Corrodes easilyEmilyMy mother bought this and at around the 5 year mark, noticed that rusty holes had formed at the base of the oven, rendering the oven not only usable but unsafe. Ikea initially told me they would repair, replace or refund following a service examination, notwithstanding that it was outside of warranty. However, after weeks of following up and enduring literally hours of waiting around on the phone), informed me they would not do any of those things. My mum has always followed the instructions carefully in caring for the oven and its installed in a normal domestic kitchen. Disappointing purchase and experience with Ikea, to say the least.1
Great little ovenKellyI opted for this one over other brand names due to the 5 year warranty as opposed to 2 years for other brands. So far, I like it a lot. It has lots of functions. Loving the bread proofing and bread baking functions. The steam cleaning seems to work, but the stainless steel fixtures and the roof of the oven are harder to clean. I've had to get in and scrub them, which I was not expecting to do. The important thing for maintenance is to completely dry out the oven after using the steam. I guess this is perhaps where a removable insert would be helpful. They have instead included a weird circular sponge. I *think it is for removing the water, I don't know if it is to be used while the steam oven is on - to wick the water and create more steam? I have not been able to determine that from instructions, so I assume it is for water removal. Its water sensor seems random, as it will tell you it needs water for its program regardless if there is water in it or not. 4
Problematic Kulinarisk AnonymousWe bought this oven five years ago and didn't use as we renovated our kitchen, two years after using it stopped working completely. The warranty is yet very low and we were left without an oven.2

Kitchen appliances for the many

How can we best assist you in your cooking, without actually being in the kitchen? One way, is to make high quality appliances at prices that leave more money left for good ingredients. To make this happen, we’re working together with carefully selected suppliers – experts we feel are the best in their field at delivering what people need in their everyday. This allows us to offer fully equipped, functional kitchens, with appliances and all the other things you need, all in one place.

Creating good things becomes a whole lot easier when you work together. And when you do it with a good amount of trust and understanding, it becomes fun and interesting.

Aha-moments during the development

Bruno Lizotte, who works with product development at IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult, tells that the development of the kitchen appliances is done hand in hand together with the suppliers. “We have a lot of experience from life at home so we share our ideas and our knowledge to get the suppliers to see things from our perspective. Then we find solutions together to improve the life in and around the kitchen,” he says. In turn, the suppliers contribute with their expertise, for example hard facts on materials, technical solutions and innovations they have in the pipeline. “By being generous we learn from each other. It’s a way to challenge old truths about how things are supposed to be done. It usually leads to a couple of aha-moments for everyone involved,” notes Bruno.

Knowledge through home visits

Some of the knowledge that’s shared comes from IKEA home visits. It’s a method to see how people in different cultures live and manage with some of life’s ups and downs in their own homes. For example, we ask; what do you do in the kitchen, except cooking? How do you use the space? Do you have friends over? What would you like to improve? What are your hopes, dreams and wishes? “The insights we get from the visits are transferred to the people we work with so we can develop better products together, and create an easier life at home,” says Bruno.

Easier days in the heart of the home

Good kitchen appliances should fit with the rest of the kitchen and with the people who use them. We all have different needs, tastes and wallets. Some of us cook because we love to, some of us because we have to. That’s why a considerable amount of time in the development process is spent on creating a selection of durable products – in different styles, functions and price levels. And always with quality as the main focus. It means a whole deal of fine-tuning, trying ideas and choosing the ones that make most use for people. “Togetherness and enthusiasm are important words to us when we develop products. In short, it means to work with people that believe in the same cause as we do, but also to respect each other’s efforts. When we manage to live up to that, we can make a true difference and contribute to a better life at home for more people. That’s really something to aim for,” says Bruno.
