The dope-dyeing process reduces consumption of water and dyestuff while improving colour fastness compared to traditional dyeing techniques.
The cover is easy to keep clean and fresh, as you can take it off and machine-wash it.
The seat cushion stays firmly in place since it has anti-slip dots on the underside.

Comfortable but terrible qualityPaula LeaI love most IKEA products but this one is a pass. The cushion is comfortable but the cover just doesn’t cut it. The material on the bottom just rips apart and disintegrates in no time. Very disappointing considering the price you pay for it.

Backing simply disintegrates CarlaThe top of the cushion cover is ok BUT- and it’s a big BUT- the underside fabric disintegrates. Cushions stored over Winter but this Summer, the backing has simply flaked away. Bear in mind that it’s the cushion part that never sees the sun and mine are never left out in the elements when unused. Really poor quality so consider this if you are buying- they will need to be replaced at least twice per year.
Beautiful but flimsyChloe I’ve had these (outside but undercover) for just shy of 18 months, have taken care of them religiously but the back / non slip side has absolutely shredded to pieces. I’ve never experienced any material shredding like this and am a bit miffed at having to buy more because judging by the reviews, it may just happen again.
Covers Fell ApartBenjiPoor quality by Ikea standards. Fabric started tearing in less than 18 months of very light use.
poor quality materialNerridathe cushions were great at first, nice and comfy. however, they deteriorated very quickly. as all the other reviews say, the rubber backing comes off very quickly and the cushion material gets ripped apart. wouldn't recommend.
Cover backing rippedCalvinSame issue as above review, all 5 of my covers backing teared and came off after a couple of uses, never left outside in the rain and used only a handful of times. Didn't keep receipt unfortunately
The cover backing never lastsCarlaGreat cover ON TOP but the non-slip backing is really bad. Tears and rips after 3 uses: have had to purchase new covers 3 times this Summer. Not good enough for Australia IKEA! The worst part is that the cushions are always in full shade and never wet%
