Perfect for storing pickled vegetables, preserved berries or other tasty things from nature's pantry, as well as dry goods like pasta, granola, tea or yummy biscuits.
The rubber gasket and locking mechanism make the lid airtight and leakproof – keeping food fresh, preserving its flavours and preventing spills.
The glass makes the jar easy to use and clean. It doesn't absorb odours or become discoloured by, for example, tomato sauce – and its transparency makes the contents easy to see.
The jar can also be used as a serving bowl - or as a storage container, helping you keep things organised throughout the home.

Lid does not closeBradWhen I attempt to seal the jar closed it pops open. I have tried changing the position of the seal multiple times as I assumed it was a user problem but, alas, it appears to be product defect with my jar. I would return the jar but getting back to my local Ikea would cost the same amount as the jar; negating any benefit in returning it.

Perfect for hot chocolate powderSheraleeI have a few of these in different sizes. This size is more decorative than the larger jars and the sides aren’t straight.
Recently I’ve used them to store hot chocolate powder.
Being clear it’s easy to see the contents and the seal locks in the flavour so everything stays fresh.
Works greatJuliaBut ikea no longer sells the replacement seals. A tad inconvenient but otherwise good for sourdough starter and sugar storage. Don't store salt in them. It wrecks the seals.
