The most uncomfortable couch I have ever had the displeasure of sitting onCarmenI lounged around on the in-store couch for over an hour to see if it was comfortable. It was pretty nice! However the couch that was delivered was hard as a rock and felt absolutely awful. I thought it might soften up over a few months, maybe it just needed to be broken in. It isn't any better at all. I get severe shooting pains up my spine every single time I sit on it, and sitting on the bare floor is infinitely less painful. I hate this couch so much and absolutely regret buying it. It's great though if you hate your back and your money.1
Good coverKateNice colour and soft fabric5
Lounge overhaulAlannaThe colour of these covers is beautiful, made our old lounge look new again! Love the outcome.5
Great hardwearing fabric and colourLisaPrice was almost high enough to consider replacing the sofa rather than recovering.4
Lint on the coverNatashaI am writing this review after 3 months of purchase. The sofa cover has got lint all over it within only 3 months. Really discouraging after paying so much for this specific cover. Was expecting little better from Ikea.1
Kivic 2.5 and 3-seater sofas, which I purchased back in 2011.FionaAs a single mum with three young boys, this was the best investment I could have made. These sofas have held up remarkably well over the years despite being well-loved, jumped on, and spilled on. The quality is incredible; they’ve kept shape and haven’t lost any of their plush softness. I originally chose a white and latte colour, and now, years later, the covers have evolved into a light white-grey with a black fleck, which I absolutely love. The new colour combination is just perfect for my home, and everyone who visits always comments on how stunning my sofas are. They’re a true winner in both comfort and style. What I appreciate most is how easy it is to change and wash the covers. I love being able to refresh the look of my living room, and I’m grateful for how durable and washable the fabric is. I’d love to see the white covers available again in cotton or linen, but regardless, these sofas are a staple in my home, and I will never throw them out. I’m a Kiviv fan for life. 5
The best! Anonymous reviewerAmazing! It has endured toddler toilet training accidents as well as vomiting. Being able to strip it an wash it is the best thing ever! Fabric washes out really well on a basic wash setting and dries quickly. It has also been drawn on with whiteboard marker that has washed out after two or three washes. Could not recommend anymore highly if you've got toddlers and kids. And so much more comfortable than I expected. Surprisingly thick cushions that hold their shape really well. 5
Affordable, comfy and stylishMeynaKivik sofa exceeded my expectations ! Well-built, comfy support, modern and classy design. Will totally recommend ! 5
New life for my couch!JenniferVery pleased with these covers - gave my ikea couch new life instead of buying a whole new one! The covers themselves were more expensive than I was hoping for but still much more economical than buying a new couch.4
Kivik replacement 2 seater and 3 seater coversPeterGreta purchase - fitted perfectly to our 6 yr old lounge and makes it look brand new again - saved money on our purchase from purchasing a new lounge5
Good couchGhulamComfy couch, does have a small issue with the bottom cushions slipping down with time.4
Kivik CoverLydiaLove it! My second hand Sofa now looks like brand new. Easier to assemble that I thought it would. Took only 15 minutes max. Highly recommended!5
like a new sofaBobOur cat had 3 years of clawing the original covers, so we opted to replace them. I was surprised that the cushions now cannot be flipped to even out wear and rotation, like the original ones.4
I love my sofa cover!RobertThis is my third KIVIK sofa cover and I love it. Possibly best quality of all 35
Lovely comfortable and firm sofa.CathyLovely comfortable and firm sofa. Easy to put together. Looks more classy than it’s cost. Ver happy5
Fabric is only on one sideEbonyVery disappointed with fabric only on one side on the seat cushions and the fabric rolls over the edges of the cushions and doesn’t sit right.1
Firm but comfortable couchShomaCouches and firm and comfortable and look good. Wide seats and very spacious. Only downside is I found getting the cushions into the covers quite tricky, almost as if it was a size too small. Did manage to eventually get it on but the cushion is no longer a perfect rectangle as the cover pulls it down.4
The softest material out ofClaireThe softest material out of the whole selection (excluding the green cord one). Looks great, very happy with cover the only negative is you can’t flip the seat cushions around as only one side had the grey fabric!4
Lovely fabric, great colour, completely uncomfortableStephenI returned it yesterday because it is far too firm and unyielding to get truly comfortable. Disappointing because it looks great in that green blue jumbo corduroy fabric.1

What is cotton?

Cotton is one of the world's most appreciated and used natural fibres. Textiles in cotton are soft, hardwearing and can be washed at high temperatures. They are also good at breathing and absorbing moisture – making them pleasant to wear close to the body. Today at IKEA we use more and more recycled cotton and strive to make sure that all the new cotton we use has been grown and produced with less and less amounts of pesticides, fertilisers and water.
