HiFi StereoEddieI used this to replace my old 1980's stereo cabinet.
I left out the the upright sections on the top shelf to put my CD player and amplifier stacked and my turntable next to it.
The Kallax glass shelves were installed on the second from top shelf/cubes. One in each of the three cubes. I found shallow plastic trays in ALDI which holds my CD's and my records (LP's) on the next level down.
I also installed a masonite backing on the lower nine cubes/ lower three shelves to strengthen the unit and to prevent items from falling through.
