Not so sturdyAngusThis totally collapsed after assembly when I slid it towards the wall and the base caught a floorboard and it came out of square. A few dowels snapped and then it fell apart. A secured / screwed shelf in the middle would help fixe this. IKEA were great in terms of arranging a replacement but I’ll be installing some right angle braces on the corners to make the next one sturdier. I’d suggest assembling near to where it’s being installed.3

Very unstableDianeI have purchased IKEA products before and they have been very strong and stable. Although this was quite easy to put together, it was hard to lift from ground and really wobbled when moved, despite all joints being together. I think instead of just wooden dowels it needs metal bearers that clamp the shelves firmly together. As a renter, which many of us are even clamping to a wall causes problems, as we can't remove skirting boards and walls are not always level. Really really dissappointed with this one. I ended up having to purchase $100 worth of angle joints to screw and stabilise, though I couldn't do every shelf as it was unsightly. Hence still slight movement. Very very dissappointed.2
