Handy graterJohannaHandy grater. Easy to hold and use. 4
Great nice and fine. AnonymousThis when added to the glass dish with lid is perfect to use. Can also be used independently too and is sturdy enough to be able. Well made, very happy with the purchase. 5
It's grateJeffreyThis greater is grate. It turns large blocks of cheese into small shreds of cheese. You can grate both ways, up and down. Greates smaller than the larger graters and larger than the tiny graters. Has a black soft plastic outer with handle making it easy to grip and prevents it from gliding when you use in on the chopping board. Easy to store but I cant remember where I put it.5
Makes finely grated cheeseJennyNice fine grater that grates up and back. Works really well on carrots too. So easy to use and takes up little space.5
I ALWAYS USED IT, ALSOElisabettaI ALWAYS USED IT, ALSO IN ITALY5
Hasn’t gone rusty like othersCorinaHasn’t gone rusty like others I’ve had.5
Good grater for every day cookingYasarSimple and functional. Doesn’t take much space unlike a box grater. Was a little expensive for a simple grater. Would have expected it to be all stainless steel for better durability. Not sure how long the plastic willl last considering the high pressure that is applied when grating hard food like ginger or carrots5
WORKS AS ADVERTISEDChrisCheap and cheerful not rocket science but gets the job done at a good price.5
Grater is very fine soTiffanyGrater is very fine so doing carrots come off quite mushy. Needs bigger holes3
Perfect.PaulWorks well.5
This is easy to useAngelaThis is easy to use and grates very well but a little to fine. Need option of larger size if requiring grated result to not be so fine.4
Pleasantly surprisedPenelopeThis purchase was quite a spontaneous one and we were not expecting it to to be as good as it is. It is easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store!5

Grates a little too smallDavinaWorks really well, but grates a little too small for my liking. Wish it was like the grater with a bowl like we got from Ikea last3

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.
