Budget Modular shelvingTessEasy to make, locate back-to-back for deeper shelving where needed. Shelf height could be taller to cater for typical containers.5
Super versatile shelfDianaThis shelf was purchased to give me more organised storage in a furnished room in a share-house. It was the only shelf I found that would fit the extremely limited space that I had available. I used to store my dishes and baskets for toilettries & everything I needed to get ready in the mornings or to prep for bed. With the top shelf used to dry my dishes. It has now moved with me to my new flat with a TINY kitchen & very limited built-in storage. With my refrigerator & extra island technically overflowing into the lounge area, this shelf is slim enough to fit in the kitchen providing much needed additional storage - especially with the very limited counterspace. I now have my toaster, kettle & some other small appliances on the top shelf with a couple less-used ones on the bottom shelf. It is great place to have all of my hot beverage additives available and ready for easy access & use. I am also using it to store the larger sealed containers that store open products away from bugs.5
Get a Drill, a measuring tape, a hacksaw, some clamps, a square and a spirit level.DavidThese shelves are great if you completely throw away the instructions and look at this product as 4 pieces of angle bracket and some folded metal shelves.
Always buy the long ones, you get an extra shelf. If the uprights are too tall, cut them down to size and put the feet on the end you cut (because it's sharp).
Install a shelf in the highest and lowest hole, use a drill so you can spin the screw whilst applying pressure to thread the hole.
Once assembled, use the tape, clamps and level to get the shelf flat and in the position you want, then drill a pilot hole through the shelf's holes from the back (or mark with a marker), remove the shelf and drill to the correct size, then install the screws.
Congrats, you now have a purpose built shelving solution. Buy more of the short one for extra shelves, or arrange the shelves to suit your application, and it's cheaper than BROR.
If placing the shelves next to each other, use some short nuts and bolts to attach them together.5
Just what I neededSivaRead from past reviews that assembly was a challenge. So arranged for assembly service. Price was very reasonable for 2 units. Perfect shelving for plants in my courtyard.5
Good value but fiddlyEllieThese shelves are very handy and look great, but they are very fiddly to put together. You absolutely need two people to assemble as it would be impossible on your own. Once they are up they are excellent and you can't complain for the price. 4
Budget shelving unitRobertRather hard to assemble with the self tapping screws (rather than nuts and bolts) and not being able to alter the position of the shelves makes the unit not totally satisfactory. However it is not unattractive and does the job once assembled.4
Lived up to expectations KarenI bought this item to put my outdoor plants on & it is a very light frame which is what I expected for the price but it does the job very well. Absolutely lived up my expectations, nothing fancy but gets the job done 5
Very strong shelvesDiannePerfect for our garage, a lot stronger than other brand 5
Good but difficult to assemble DoneeGood but difficult to assemble 2
The size is good enoughMimiThe size is good enough to place in a garage or at storage room.5
worth at this Price.Padmavathyhad a difficult to assembly due to improper foldiing of flanges. looks good after hard assembly.3
Useful shelves BronwynThese are very good shelves and easy to put together. Some of the screw holes weren’t exactly lined up but not too bad 4
Love entry level IKEAAnonymousI’ve had 2 x 2 galvanised shelf units, overlayed to heighten units (attached to walls) and although the cheapest pieces of furniture in my house - no less valued. They hold the overflow of my favorite ceramics and wooden boards in our kitchen and I love their pure simplicity - we have been living with them for years. And their price makes them accessible to everyone - thank you!5
Very Poor Shelf UnitKatrinaShelves are not tightened enough for holes to line up. Needs mallet to adjust to correct shape. Takes much longer than usual to assemble. Would not suggest anyone buy these. 1
Be prepared to take time. JanelleFiddly hard to put together. Wish I knew I needed a Phillips head before I bought it. 2
Cheap price but too hard to assemble CarlaThis piece is cheaply priced but I couldn't assemble it by myself.
The metal is not bent sufficiently in some places (i.e. not bent to 90 degrees) which means the holes do not align to put screws through.
I might try to drill some extra holes so I can finally put it together. But I wouldn't buy this again because it was pretty frustrating.1
To hard put together and came dentedYingI had no opinion 1
Absolute pain to put togetherErinThis shelf is great once it’s put together, but getting there is probably not worth it. Lining up the holes is really difficult and screwing it in is way harder than it should be. This is coming from someone who usually enjoys assembling Ikea furniture! I got blisters on my palms :( It’s a handy little shelf and good value for the price but I probably wouldn’t buy it again.3
Worst item I have bought in IKEA ErikaLike half of the holes for screws don't match2
