Product details

HÅLLBAR bins are designed to meet different waste sorting needs. This bin is perfect for sorting dry and wet organic waste such as coffee grounds and peels from fruits or vegetables.

The bin’s ventilation holes and the form of the bottom allow the air to circulate and dry out the organic waste. This minimises unwanted odours.

HÅLLBAR bins are stackable to save space. Place same-size bins on top of each other or place smaller bins on top of the larger ones.

The bins can be placed freestanding anywhere in your home or integrated in a cabinet or drawer.

By mounting HÅLLBAR pull out frame for waste sorting bins in a cabinet or HÅLLBAR support frame for waste sorting bins in MAXIMERA high drawer, the bins stay in place, and you get good access and overview.

In the kitchen, mount your waste sorting as close to the sink as possible since this is where most waste is produced and to avoid spills.

A lid is included to hide your waste. It’s removeable for easy cleaning or if you prefer to keep your bin open.

The bin is designed with rounded corners to make it easier to clean.

The folding handle makes it easy to carry the bin with you to the waste station.

The included sticker can be attached to the bin to mark what you are sorting. Draw or write on the sticker to make it clear what goes in the bin.

    Care

    Wipe dry with a clean cloth.

    Wipe clean with a soft cloth dampened in water and a mild non-abrasive washing-up detergent or soap, if necessary.

zero star rating - not fit for purpose describedAnonymousBought 2 of these based on product usage description. I bought one for cat litter (used) and another for kitchen food rubbish. It is not suitable for any such purposes. Problems - (1) Cannot hold a bag in the bin - the design prevents the securing the bag around the edge. (2) Have to use bag for rubbish because the holes are large - larger than 5cent piece, and the whole bin (except the lid and base are covered in holes). Only way to use a bag is to (a) not to use the lid with a bag (ie use as open top); (b) use bag that is twice the size so that you can use 3 sides of the bin to hold down the bag -essentially covers the bin with the bag; (c) sticky tape the bag to the side. In that case what is the purpose of using this bin? (3) Because of the holes - odour from food and cat litter disperse into the room - stinking rooms with smell. (4) It comes in 5 pieces. Have to move the hinge piece to fit lid on to it. I am using these bins with oversized bags (compostable) and bicarb soda inside (on the bottom) - one in my bedroom and other in my bathroom (ie for non odour causing rubbish only). I bought this online, with other matching bins. ABSOLUTE WASTE of money and time putting them together - and got bleeding fingers trying to affix hinge/lid. I have not purchased IKEA products in the past but these experiences most definitely deter me from buying from IKEA again. If I can give 0 star - I would.1
